I took this picture in downtown Jerusalem while on a wonderful tour of Israel. I recognized the word on the wall and quickly shot the picture, then my friend, Jill, and I continued on our fast-paced walk.   This wall is said to be a replica of the facial wall of a former girl’s orphanage in Jerusalem. This beautiful architectural art has a practical use, a clock for the time of day and a bus stop. On the face of this wall just below the clock you will see a wooden sign which says, TALITHAKUMI. The Lord Jesus spoke this when He raised up a twelve year old girl to complete alertness and health.  Her family and friends believed her to be dead, so when Jesus said, “She is not dead, but only sleeping”, they laughed at Him.  According to the New International Version of the Bible, TALITHAKUMI is Hebrew and means, “Little girl, arise.”  You can read this account in Mark 5:38-43.

Recently when I looked at this photograph closely, I suddenly saw more than a wooden sign on a stone wall. My eyes and ears were opened and I heard a clear message from the Lord.  I noticed the clock, which said it was 12:50.  God was seeing the time from His viewpoint, not mine, which told me it was a few minutes before 1:00 in the afternoon.  I heard the Lord say, “It is past midnight; we are in the first hour.”  Then I looked at the stone wall, and the Lord asked me a question. “What do you see?”

“I see only the front wall of an old stone church building. There are no supporting walls around it.”

“There are no walls, but what do you see there?” He asked.

    “I see people there.”

“Yes, there are no walls, but people, because my people are the precious living stones which make up My Sanctuary. My church is not dead, she is sleeping, and I am calling My sleeping and sick church to take My hand, AWAKEN, BE MADE WHOLE, AND ARISE.”

The following two Bible verses support this Word to the church.

Do this, knowing the time, that it is already the hour for you to awaken from sleep; for now salvation is nearer to us than when we believed. Romans 13: 11, NASB.

As for me, I shall behold Your face in righteousness:  I will be satisfied with your likeness when I awake. Psalm 17: 15, NASB

My name is Cathy Minnick. The Lord has given me a prophetic gift in photography. Holy Spirit speaks to me about photos I’ve taken when I least expect it.  Sometimes several pictures come together in an artistic and prophetic way to bring forth His message. I pray that God will bless your heart and spirit with this message.
