  • On a Rock

Posted on May 20th, 2015 lula 4 comments

Sitting on a RockI invite you today to come into my secret place with Jesus…

I can hear the rushing of Eagle Falls as I sit on a rock overlooking Emerald Bay at Lake Tahoe. Many shades of blue, green, and gray surround me. Thankful for my strength to climb to this place, my heart is full. Early in the morning Jesus called me to come and meet Him here. The vision of God’s beautiful creation comforts and soothes my soul. I pull my journal from my backpack, ready to record the word He has called me to hear.

Why do these tears appear wetting my eyes? I see a heart formed in the clouds and hear an angel whispering, “For you.”

I write the words I hear in my heart,

My everlasting love for you can shelter you, can bring you a peace like today in the busiest intersection of life, in transitions, and in turmoil. Between heaven and earth is My Holy Spirit in you, powerful and gentle, strong with peace, courage that is pure without anything to prove. Who He is, you are becoming. His power is working in you, my beloved, my dear.

The voices of people may come and go, but my voice stands firm and ever present whispering and at times shouting into your heart.

My presence abides in you. Be engaged in my love.

Is there anything you need to fear if I stand guard over your heart?

I am distracted by a loud humming that sounds like an airplane overhead, but there is no plane in sight.

Just like the blaring sound overhead you hear that can distract you, an airplane overhead is loud, so can circumstances in life cause you to wonder… but that sound, that distracting noise cannot change where you now sit… you are in a pleasant place, a peaceful place, resting in my presence. You wonder, when will the noise stop. Refocus. Set your mind on where you are seated in heavenly places, on the side of a mountain. The noise cannot move you, cannot shake you, cannot touch you.

Lord, it is loud. Maybe it’s not just an airplane… it goes on and on and on.

Is it changing where you are seated, does it change your view? Look. Now it’s gone.

It did not change my position or my circumstance… but I am glad that noise is gone.

This is how troubles can affect you. They create noise, but you haven’t moved, nor have I.

    I stood with you.

Look around you. What do you see?

I see that I’m seated next to the edge of a rock; just a few feet from danger – it’s fifty feet to the next level.

    Are you safe?

Yes. I like it here. There’s adventure and safety with You, Lord. The noise eventually stopped.

The troubles will eventually cease… there will be longer periods of rest compared to noise.

All of us, then, reflect the glory of the Lord with uncovered faces; and that same glory, coming from the Lord, who is the Spirit, transforms us into his likeness in an ever greater degree of glory (2 Corinthians 3:18 GNT).

For he raised us from the dead along with Christ, and we are seated with him in the heavenly realms – all because we are one with Christ Jesus (Ephesians 2:6 NLT).

  • Releasing Resurrection Power

Posted on May 8th, 2015 lula 4 comments

There are many mysteries to be uncovered, much wisdom to be discovered. Ever wonder what the key is to all wisdom and mysteries?

Life is not just what we see and experience with our five senses: sight, sound, touch, taste, and smell. Why do we turn around to see who is looking at us? We felt that stare. Dreams bring to life our inner thoughts to unveil mysteries from our unconscious mind, other times predict the future, and at times warn us of impending danger. There is the wonder of life and the beauty of creation, along with the ugliness of disease and the devastation of a violent storm to ponder. Why? What is life really about? What are the answers to all our questions?

My art shows an angel lighting the way in the darkness, through all the mysteries in life to reveal the wisdom of Jesus and unveil the resurrection power that He released when He rose from the dead. The torch the angel is holding represents Holy Spirit, who reveals the truth about God. The cross is the focus that represents the resurrection power of Jesus. This power is available to anyone who comes and is willing to surrender everything for the everlasting life found in Jesus.

Jesus said, “I am the resurrection and the life. Those who believe in me will live, even though they die; and those who live and believe in me will never die.” (John 11:26 GNT).

Jesus also said, “ I am telling you the truth: whoever obeys my teaching will never die.” (John 8:51 GNT).

I experienced an open vision of Jesus, saw the nail prints in his hands, and felt His  love. This felt love was more powerful and more astounding than anything I could imagine. This experience transcended the natural world of the five senses; it came from the heavens clothed in the glory of God.

Jesus is God’s hidden mystery and the answer to all wisdom.

He (Jesus) is the key that opens all the hidden treasures of God’s wisdom and knowledge (Colossians 2:3 GNT).

Open up your heart to Jesus. Ask and you will receive the answer that will transform your life.

  • Ocean Breeze

Let the wind of the Spirit

    Blow upon you,

    Set your spirit

    Free to fly.

A longing in my heart began to stir. I longed go to the ocean to feel the cool sea breeze upon my face, to watch the waves crash against the rocks of the northern coast of California, and to take photos of the lighthouses near Fort Bragg. I love taking my shoes off and allowing the gentle waves wash over my feet as I walk along the shore. I wanted to paint a prophetic picture while looking at the Pacific Ocean. I decided to go, with Jesus.

All things are possible with God.

    Loving Jesus.

  • Burning Bush

Posted on January 17th, 2015 lula 4 comments

The burning bush represents a call activated, a call to action.

Moses was tending his father-in-law’s sheep and goats on Mount Sinai when he saw a supernatural sight, a bush that burned but was not consumed by the flames. He turned aside to get a closer look and heard the voice of God calling his name.

Moses was a man destined for greatness. He was saved by an Egyptian princess and raised in the pharaoh’s household. But, when he saw the injustice his people suffered, he killed an Egyptian and fled for his life. He lived quietly as a shepherd for many years in a distant land. One day the great I AM called his name from the flames in the midst of a burning bush. God called Moses into a destiny far greater than any pharaoh ever achieved. He led a nation of slaves into freedom.

Underneath this painting is picture of a burning bush I painted seven years ago. That picture had red, orange, and yellow flames. I felt Holy Spirit inviting me to paint over it, to create a new picture. I followed the lead of Holy Spirit and used only red, orange, and yellow. But, this time I drew blossoms. I added iridescent gold paint that made the colors shimmer with light. Finally I added a touch of blue. I loved this new picture so much more than the old one. I looked at it and asked the Lord for a title. Did I hear “Burning Bush?”  The “Burning Bush” restored?

I painted this picture on New Year’s Day, 2015. I wondered about the significance of this picture in relationship to the first day of the new year. I posted this picture on Prophetic Arts for Jesus, a group on Facebook, and asked for feedback. After reading their response, and prayerfully considering the meaning of this picture, I concluded my painting is indeed called, “Burning Bush.” It speaks about the coming year, 2015.

The burning bush is a miracle, a supernatural occurrence through which God spoke to Moses, a man who didn’t feel adequate or capable in two ways. He lacked power and a voice. God gave him a staff that had miraculous power. He told him that He would help him speak and even tell him what to say. And when that still wasn’t enough, God gave him a companion, his brother Aaron to help him. God promised to help both of them to speak. He indeed provided.

The call was to rescue a people locked into slavery, a people who were crying out to God from the heavy burdens of the oppression of bondage.

So, Moses went in faith to Egypt to rescue the Hebrews with the promise of power and a voice. He led God’s people into freedom.

Here is a type of shadow of things to come, things that have arrived, and are coming forth.

Today the burning bush is the miracle of the resurrection of Jesus. God has provided the power of Holy Spirit who gives his believers a voice. The power and voice are one in Holy Spirit.

I have seen a vision of the resurrected Jesus and felt his love for the lost. Jesus was in the dirt for the love of mankind. Jesus is in the miracle of the resurrection calling out, “Go and rescue my people who are crying out from the oppression of slavery to sin. Bring them into the promised land, into freedom from sin!”

All who have ears, let them hear.

Jesus will have a glorious harvest of souls this year.

  • Break Out

The Sovereign LORD has filled me with his Spirit.

He has chosen me and sent me to bring good news to the poor,

to heal the broken-hearted, to announce release to captives

and freedom to those in prison (Isaiah 61: 1 GNT).

    Flying Free

    Break Out

I lead you out of captivity and into the light of my presence.

No more will any cage enclose around you with a loud clang, click.

I give you wings that soar,

That carry you into places of bliss,

    New frontiers without borders.

My Spirit within you is your guide

Who leads with the sweet fragrance of my presence,

    Gently, yet with intensity.

    My strength clothes you,

    My courage infuses you

Into deep places of your heart

    Filling you to overflow

    In all you do.

    So,

    Dance

    Fly

    Twirl

    Soar

    Laugh from deep within

    Spin and Shout!

    I am with you,

    I am with you,

    My love.

  • He Goes Before You

The Almighty Holy God is a consuming fire!

A light that can never be extinguished and never was lit.

    Existing before time,

Creating in love with a mighty gentle hand.

He leads us with unfailing, faithful love

    Into hope.

Hope is a sparkling star whose light is beyond measure

An anchor that keeps us from drifting aimlessly.

Hope takes us on a journey through the storm

    Beyond our imagination

    To the peaceful shore.

Hope leads us into His eternal promises.

Keep your eyes on Jesus, the hope of the nations.

    He goes before you.
