Love that is constant, good, and faithful flows from heaven to fill us up by the power of Holy Spirit in my latest prophetic art piece, Igniting Love.

I am astounded as I meditate on the qualities of God. Revelations of His goodness are changing my  life. When I watched The Passion of the Christ again last year, I was amazed.  No one on this earth would suffer such torment for me, but Jesus did. As I go through my greatest challenge, divorced after 39 years of marriage, I am stunned by God’s faithful walk with me… through everything.  My life has changed, but Jesus is still the same. He never leaves me; I can lean into Him for strength; He stands with me through every storm and heartache. I am experiencing His presence and joy through the pain. He  always has time to listen. I especially need His encouragement to hold onto his blood-stained hand as He cleanses my heart and heals my soul. My Jesus is gentle. Right now, I need gentle. Jesus is a real person that I can trust and believe in. He is my truth and my love.

Do you expect God to hold you, heal you, and lead you? What if stepping into His footsteps leads to unknown territory? New ground can feel so  very strange. I am learning how to let go and flow with the wind of the Spirit as I follow Jesus.

I fully intended to draw normal horse legs as I worked on this picture, but he turned into a supernatural flying horse who moves without earth-bound restrictions, completely full with so much love that he overflows. Joy spins around him. When I showed Igniting Love for the first time at an art & craft fair, a young boy, who appeared to be about 8 years old, looked, and then quietly tugged on his father to return to my booth. I saw him whisper into his father’s ear.  I sold my first print of this fantastic horse to them.

Use your imagination. Can you see the possibilities of such powerful love flowing in your life?

    • Beautiful piece; beautiful post.
I am reminded of a wonderful verse of loving support – Isaiah 41:10: “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

And if we don’t get it the first time, He emphasizes it in verse 13: “For I am the Lord, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.”

    • Dearest Sister,
As I pondered this piece, after the emotions,…
I heard the thought “I love the transparency of her work and her words.” The thought was so one with the Lord’s thought that I did not see, hear or feel it as a separate thought from His. This is what I also see in this “bursting” piece. It is bursting with the colors of His love, His faithfulness, His dramatic entry, His thoughts and ways which are so much higher than ours. I feel as one with this piece, therefore, I will at some point order it, if it is for sale. I love this higher, beautiful, fuller expression, which comes from a heart which is one with His. I love you so, dear friend~ Cathy

    • Dear Sister,

A few years ago I was seeking God and asking Him about the word “transition.” He gave me a vision of a horse and said that transition is like a galloping horse. At one point in the stride all four legs are off the ground at the same time. The horse is suspended in air, maintained in position by faith and against the forces of gravity. It is no longer where it was, but neither does it yet know where it is going and where its feet will land. That place of transition is faith. That is where you are. You are not where you were, but you are not yet where you are going. In faith, the Lord has you in his hands, suspended and protected against the natural forces of life. Transition can be a beautiful thing like your painting. There is freedom and foreward movement. There is the continuation of the journey. The Lord said to me another time, “No matter how good things are, no matter how bad things might get, the best is yet to come.” I have had to hold on to that. The horse is heading in the right direction….the best is yet to come.

      • Thank you Gael for such an encouraging word. I photographed a wild foal running free and all four legs were off the ground. When I looked closely at the picture I saw a bird flying with it. Yes, transition is like that… it feels like we are suspended in the air. We can find joy in that place between here and there and someplace… with HIM!

    • Love this Lula! He is supernatural and moves without earthbound restrictions just like we who know and live in His grace! This reminds me of a Scripture through a book on John G. Lake I’m reading right now. It is in the chapter “Reign as Kings”. Romans 5:17, “For if by the trespass of one, death reigned as king through the one, much more shall they who receive the abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness reign as kings in the realm of life through Jesus Christ”. To reign as king in this life right now… reminds me of this horse. Love it!

      • I do believe that to reign in his kingdom is to live without earthbound restrictions. Our God is beyond the natural, yet we are so blessed that He understands the natural.

    • Beautiful post, Lula! I’m so proud of you for having the courage to publish this.

      Love you,
      Jeanette

    • Lula,
This is absolutely my favorite piece so far. To me it represents our freedom, strength and mightly love in Jesus. I attended a Patricia King conference in March, 2011 and one of the speakers spoke of seeing horses in the spirit and your painting depicts her description of these spiritual horses.

Your courage and strength are represented in this prophetic painting. Thanks for sharing dear friend in Christ!
